Pixel Receipt is an app made by HitScore Labs LLC ("we", "us"). This policy explains what happens to your data when you use it.
What happens when you check a photo
- On your iPhone: Pixel Receipt reads the photo's metadata (like camera details, editing software, and Content Credentials) on the device.
- Sent for analysis: a reduced copy of the photo (at most 1024 pixels on its longest side, as a JPEG) is sent to our server. The server passes it to:
- Hive, to estimate whether the image is AI-generated.
- Google Cloud Vision, to find web pages where the image appears.
- TinEye, only if you use "Find the oldest copy", to find dated earlier copies.
- What we keep: we don't store your photo. We keep the analysis result for up to 7 days so repeat checks of the same image are fast. It's stored under a one-way fingerprint of the image, not the image itself.
What stays on your device
- Your saved receipts and their thumbnails are stored only on your iPhone. You can delete them anytime in Settings.
- Your free-receipt count and monthly usage are stored on your iPhone.
Purchases
Subscriptions are handled by Apple. We never see your payment details. The app checks your subscription status with Apple to unlock Pro.
Server logs
Our server runs on Cloudflare. Like any web service, it processes your IP address to deliver responses and to limit abuse, and it keeps short-lived error logs (up to 7 days). These logs don't include your photos.
What we don't do
- No accounts, names, email addresses, or contacts are collected by the app.
- No advertising, no ad tracking, and no selling or sharing of data for advertising.
- No analytics or tracking SDKs.
Children
Pixel Receipt isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date above. Significant changes will also be noted in the app.
